About Us
Loyola believes in the kid who gets knocked down and gets back up.
The student who isn't naturally gifted but refuses to quit. We believe in dreamers, the ones who ignore the doubters and push forward anyway. We believe in people who try, who step into the arena knowing they might fail, but do it anyway. At Loyola, we believe all work can be art if you care enough to make it so. Our goal is simple: build a tutoring centre that students are proud to attend, teachers are proud to work at, and parents trust to deliver real results.
Loyola Tutoring is based in Perth. We teach Year 1 to Year 10 students in Maths, English and Science. We also run specialist programs for GATE and selective school entry.
We started Loyola because we saw two problems. First, schools move students forward even when they haven't mastered what they just learned. Gaps pile up. Confidence drops. Students fall behind. Second, capable students who want to be challenged often find school too slow. They're ready for harder material but have to wait for everyone else to catch up. At Loyola, we fix the gaps first. We build understanding step by step. When a student truly gets it, we move them forward into harder material. For students who are ahead, we give them the challenge they're looking for.
Our lessons follow the Western Australian curriculum, but we don't stop there. We write everything ourselves. Every lesson. Every question. Every homework sheet. Every mock exam. We review our materials constantly to make sure they're accurate, challenging, and aligned with what students actually face in tests. Students learn how to get the right answer and how to explain their thinking clearly and efficiently.
Our tutors have been through structured training. They know how to explain concepts clearly, ask the right questions, manage a classroom, and keep students engaged. Classes are deliberately small so every student gets attention, feedback, and a chance to participate.
We track progress seriously. Students get regular feedback on what they're doing well and what needs work. Homework and tests tell us where a student is struggling so we can adjust our teaching. Parents get clear updates on their child's progress.
Loyola works in partnership with families. We're upfront about expectations: effort matters, attendance matters, practice matters. Many students stay with us for years, building consistency, confidence, and the ability to learn independently.
Better test scores matter. So does developing students who think logically, write clearly, and tackle new problems with confidence.
THE RESULTS
We measure our success with real data. In the most recent GATE exam cycle, 160 families reported their results to us. Of those, 142 students passed. That's an 89% pass rate. Even more impressive: 51 students scored high enough to get into Perth Modern School. That means one in four students in Perth Modern's incoming class came from Loyola. The highest score achieved by a Loyola student was 285.
Beyond exam results, we track improvement through mock exams, skill diagnostics, and timed assessments. We measure gains in accuracy, reasoning, writing quality, and exam readiness. We also track how long students stay with us. Many continue for multiple years, which tells us they're experiencing real, sustained growth, not just a quick score boost before a test.

We started Loyola to give every child access to great education in Perth and to fix the common gaps families face in tutoring. HOW WE GET THERE
Years 0 - 5
We begin by excelling in GATE test preparation for gifted students. We craft rigorous curricula, train exceptional tutors, and deliver measurable results.
Years 5 - 8
We expand from GATE preparation to core subjects across Years 1 to 4 and Years 6 to 12, including Mathematics, English, and Science. We refine scalable systems, build a reputation for academic excellence, and become a cornerstone institution in education.
Years 8 -20
Our dream is to build a specialised secondary school that welcomes some of the best minds in this country and gives them permission to dream big with the tools to change the world. Here, exceptional students will tackle real world challenges through partnerships with industry leaders, positioning graduates to push humanity forward.

Students walk into a fun, energetic room where questions are welcome and help is always close. We keep lessons tight and clear with a planned curriculum, weekly goals, and in depth marking with helpful precise feedback because we know that small groups, rich resources and fast feedback turn hard work into steady progress. Parents are updated through regular emails, newsletters, WhatsApp messages and quick admin support.
Our tutors run a simple winning rhythm. They prepare well before each lesson and create any extra materials they need, such as PowerPoints, short videos, or simple posters. Then they deliver the lesson like a concert, not just teaching the content, but performing it.
